These could range from anything from memories, to abilities, to items, to even relationships or essential parts of their souls. In Beacon, Sora continues to regain echoes even in death, but items will no longer be returned to him. His abilities are also limited to the in-game boundaries of the world of Beacon.

Current ability mechanic: I roll a 1d20. On a 12+, he brought the ability with him from because he had it in Locke City. On anything lower than 12, he does not and has to recover the ability by seeing a similar ability or experiencing a situation similar to one in the past where he specifically needed or encountered that ability.
